Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Koopi ("Koopi", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Koopi mobile app and related services. Koopi copies trading signals from Telegram channels you choose and executes them on your connected brokerage account. To do that, you connect two accounts to Koopi — your Telegram account and your broker account — and this policy is mostly about how we handle those connections.

1. Information we collect

Telegram account connection

To read trading signals from the channels you choose, Koopi connects to your Telegram account. During this connection we collect:

  • Your phone number, to identify your Telegram account.
  • Your Telegram login code and, if you have it enabled, your two-factor (cloud) password — used only once to authenticate the connection. We do not store your login code or your two-factor password. They are passed to Telegram to establish the session and then discarded.
  • A Telegram session token that keeps the connection active so Koopi can read the channels you select. You can disconnect this at any time.
  • Messages from the channels you choose to copy — read solely to extract trade instructions (symbol, direction, entry, stop-loss, take-profit). We do not read your private chats, and we only process the channels you explicitly add.

Broker account connection

  • Your broker (MT5) credentials — login, server, and password — used to place and manage trades on your behalf according to your settings. These are stored encrypted and used only to connect to your broker.
  • Trade and account activity — the trades Koopi places for you, their results, and your account balance — so we can show you your performance and notifications.

Account and device data

  • A Koopi account identifier and your settings (risk preferences, selected channels).
  • Basic device and diagnostic data (app version, crash logs, anonymized usage events) to keep the app working and improve it.

2. How we use your information

  • To connect to your Telegram and broker accounts and provide the core copy-trading service.
  • To read the channels you select and execute the resulting trades per your settings.
  • To show you trade activity, results, and notifications.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and improve the product.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. How we store and protect it

  • On your device, sensitive items (such as your Koopi session) are kept in the iOS Keychain and are not synced to iCloud or device backups.
  • On our servers, credentials and session data are stored encrypted, with access restricted to the systems that need them to run your trades.
  • Your Telegram login code and two-factor password are never written to disk or logs.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the parties needed to run the service:

  • Telegram — to connect to your account and read the channels you choose.
  • Your broker — to place and manage your trades.
  • Infrastructure and tooling providers — hosting, error monitoring, and product analytics — who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we disconnect your Telegram and broker sessions and schedule your personal data for deletion. Some records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Disconnect Telegram or your broker at any time from the app, which stops Koopi from accessing them.
  • Delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Delete account). This initiates removal of your account and associated personal data.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or export your data. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

Koopi is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
